FREELANCE PROJECT

Phawker

Phawker was an irreverent Philadelphia-based culture blog featuring curated news, gossip, music reviews, political commentary, plus “the usual sex, drugs and Rock n' Roll”. Phawker was founded by the late Jonathan Valania, who served as its Editor-in-Chief.

VISIT THE SITE

Deanna Talens is a professional cellist working in Europe. I directed a photo shoot with Deanna and photographer Nelson Fitch in auditorium spaces at Northwestern University, where Deanna was graduating with a Masters in music performance.

This was my first experience directing photography with the web page in mind at the outset. We shot spaces with lots of empty room for type.
