Phawker

Phawker.com, run by Editor-in-Chief Jonathan Valania, is an irreverent blog featuring curated news, gossip, music reviews, political commentary, plus “the usual sex, drugs and Rock n' Roll”. Phawker.com is based in Philadelphia.

Deanna Talens is a professional cellist working in Europe. I directed a photo shoot with Deanna and photographer Nelson Fitch in auditorium spaces at Northwestern University, where Deanna was graduating with a Masters in music performance.

This was my first experience directing photography with the web page in mind at the outset. We shot spaces with lots of empty room for type.
